With Apple's hands complete enveloped in the casts, we have to do everything for her. I did rig a system for her to hold her own milk, but, of course, the casts are heavy so Apple could only do this for a short time. Sissy got rude about having to help Apple so I gave her a lesson on empathy. First, she and Blossom had to hold their arms out in the same position Apple's are. After they admitted it was hard and their arms felt heavy, I gave them soup cans to hold to simulate the weight of the casts. They could barely hold them. Hopefully, they have a better understanding now of what their baby sister is going through.
